Prepaid Electric

Prepaid Electric Is Not What You Think It Is

Prepay Power Puts You In Control

What is Prepaid Electricity?

With a prepaid electric plan, you deposit funds into your account and the electricity that you use is paid for using those funds. When the account balance runs low, you deposit more money into your account. You are able to decide how much or how little you add to your account based on your budget. As long as your account balance remains above $0.01, your power remains on. To help you stay on top of your account balance and energy usage, Pogo send you daily texts with account information.

What is Post-Paid Electricity?

Post-paid electric is different than prepaid electric in many ways. First off, post-paid plans often require a credit check and a deposit before service can be connected. Second, if you forget to pay your energy bill and your power is turned off, post-paid energy providers almost always have reconnect fees. If you move and need to terminate service, post-paid electric plans almost always have an early termination fee.

Let’s not forget the bill shock that is experienced every time you see your account statement and the total that you owe.

Guaranteed Acceptance with Pogo Prepay Power

Traditional post-pay electric plans make you jump through hoops before they’ll connect your power. Even then, they may not accept you if they determine you are considered to be ‘high risk’. With Pogo prepaid electricity plans, everyone is guaranteed to be accepted. Our prepaid electric plan works similar to prepaid debit cards. The money you prepay goes toward powering your home.
