Reducir el consumo de energ\u00eda tambi\u00e9n ayuda a reducir tu factura de electricidad.  No estamos hablando de volver a aislar su casa o hacer otras actualizaciones costosas. La mayor\u00eda de la gente no puede cambiar todos los electrodom\u00e9sticos ni actualizar las ventanas (al menos no de golpe). As\u00ed que hagamos cuentas para sustituir todas las bombillas de tu casa. Fui de habitaci\u00f3n en habitaci\u00f3n de mi casa y cont\u00e9 un total de 48 bombillas.   Para facilitar las cuentas, redondeemos a 50. Si tuvieras que sustituir 50 bombillas, el ahorro ser\u00eda mayor. As\u00ed que, para ponerlo en perspectiva, gastar 3,50 d\u00f3lares en 15.000 horas al comprar una bombilla LED es lo mismo que comprar 15 bombillas incandescentes para alcanzar las 15.000 horas, lo que significa que est\u00e1s gastando 15 d\u00f3lares por la misma cantidad de tiempo de funcionamiento. Si luego tienes en cuenta la cantidad de vatios que utiliza cada bombilla, 60 vatios frente a 9 vatios, es una reducci\u00f3n evidente del consumo de energ\u00eda.
